Better hair care products for your hair

The green movement is quickly sweeping across the nation, and the world for that matter. We’ve seen it in automobile manufacturing. We’ve seen it in food cultivation and production. And now with the incredible benefits we’ve seen from getting back to basics and going organic in everything else, we’re seeing it in health and beauty products. One evident benefit of switching to all natural hair care products is that it helps our environment but there are many other bonuses like having thicker, more lush and vibrant hair for much less than you’d expect.

First, let’s focus on the obvious benefactor of going organic: our environment. As human beings, we’ve pillaged the wonderful world in which we live. As water supplies dwindle and begin to show more signs of tainting, it’s even more imperative for us to use environmentally friendly products when cleaning our homes and ourselves. Because these products are all natural, when you rinse organic shampoos and conditioners from your hair, you aren’t further washing chemicals into our water systems. Organic hair care products are biodegradable, and once washed away, there is no danger of damaging our environment.

Next up for consideration is how much better organic products actually are for your hair. People in ancient times were really on to something by utilizing the elements of the earth the way nature intended. Now, we’re turning back to those original organics after learning more about how natural herbs and vitamins benefit our hair and ourselves. Absorbed first in your scalp, you’ll soon see these wonderful organic herbs, vitamins and anti-oxidants work their way down to positively impact the rest of your body. Additionally, because organic hair care products are completely non-synthetic, those with sensitive skin and scalp can fearlessly go green without the worry of allergic reactions.

As an added bonus, it’s not difficult to find organic hair care products. In fact, you can find them just as easily as synthetic products. Indeed, you can find them in specialty stores but more often than not, you can find them right in your local grocery store. Of course, you don’t even need to leave your home at all when you shop online. With just a few clicks, you can have organic hair care products delivered right to your home.

Before you begin to wonder if going organic is just some conspiracy to get you to shell out more money for the products you use, you’ll be pleasantly surprised to learn that organic hair care products actually cost less. Most organic products, with the exception of some highly exotic ones, are quite cheap, making it another plus to make the change. There are many books that offer simple instructions on how to make organic skin and hair products at home. Creating your own organic products is something fun you can do on your own or with family and friends. Your own organic creations are an ideal way to meet the distinctive needs of your hair or create special gifts to give to others.  http://www.ultraimports.com.au/shipping.php

Hair care products every women needs

Most women desire to have hair that is thick, healthy, and vibrant. Unfortunately, not every woman was born with a natural tendency for these traits in her hair. But the good news is that many products are available to help your hair get the appearance you want. With womens hair treatment, it’s a simple process to manipulate your hair to the style and look you want to create. Below are some hair care products that can help you to achieve any look you desire.

First, purchase a leave-in conditioner for your hair, even if you condition while in the shower. A leave-in conditioner can be almost like a primer before paint, and can get your locks ready for your styling gels and products. A leave-in conditioner also helps hydrate the hair, detangle it, and makes it easier to comb through. This will save you time in the morning or anytime after you shower and wash your hair. Combined with a root lifter, your leave-in conditioner won’t weigh your hair down and cause you to lose precious volume.

Next, for the best womens hair treatment in Australia, purchase a boar bristle brush. These brushes allow you to create a sleek look with a ponytail or a wave with major volume. Although the price tag may seem high, cheaper options are available for those who want the same results. The various uses of this brush and the ability to completely change the look of your hair will encourage you to fork over the dough.

Another important hair care products to have is oil that can help to control frizz and keep your ends polished. A good oil product can also add lots of shine to hair that is otherwise dull and bland. Pick a formula that doesn’t make your hair look greasy and that doesn’t add a lot of weight to your hair. Using oil also helps to save you time by cutting down on your blow-drying time. Finally, finish up your look after a washing with a salon quality blow dryer. A dryer that is well made and powerful can help save you time by cutting your drying time in half. You can recreate the look you get when you are fresh from the salon with a blow dryer that is of high quality. A salon quality blow dryer can also protect your hair from damage that is caused by heat exposure.

It’s not necessary for women to simply settle for the hair they have. With the right products for womens hair treatment, you can have the look you’ve always wanted with minimal effort.   http://www.ultraimports.com.au/

Tips on buying hair care products for men

While most women pay more attention to their hair than men do, a man should make sure that his hair is healthy, smells good and is good looking at all times. Healthy hair is attractive, feels good and does not usually fall out prematurely, unless a man has a history of hereditary baldness in his family. Following are some hair care tips that every man will want to take into consideration and follow.

Washing
The hair should be washed as often as necessary. However, this does not mean that a man should shampoo his hair on a daily basis; in fact, regular shampoo usage can dry the hair out and make it brittle. Most men only need to use water to wash the hair on a daily basis; shampoo can then be used twice or thrice a week, depending on what type of hair a man has.

Those who have oily hair should wash it with shampoo every other day. Men with dry hair should use shampoo only a couple times a week and then follow shampoo usage with a good conditioner. Men who have dandruff should either use an anti-dandruff shampoo or a natural home remedy for this condition, as there is hardly anything more unattractive than little white dandruff flakes all over a man's hair.

Styling Products and Dyes

Dyes and styling products can cause hair problems if they are overused or if a man buys the wrong products. In most cases a man will want to avoid using gels, mousse and other similar products unless absolutely necessary. A man who wants to dye his hair should only do so on a irregular basis, as overuse of hair dye can cause the hair to dry out.

Choosing the Right Hair Products

Using the right hair care products for men is very important. A man will want to start by identifying what type of hair he has and then choose a shampoo and conditioner set that is made for the hair type in question. Shampoos and conditioners are commonly made for dry hair, oily hair, damaged hair or for dyed hair.

Some men have sensitive hair that is easily damaged by the elements and/or certain hair care products. Such men may want to consider buying organic shampoos, conditioners and other hair care products, as these do not contain harmful chemicals that often cause problems for those who have sensitive or damaged hair. While organic hair care products are not easy to find at a regular supermarket or grocery store, they can be easily found and purchased over the internet.

Using Hair Care Products Correctly

Most specialized hair care products come with specific usage instructions and it is important to use the products as specified by the manufacturer. Overusing a product (or not using it enough) will render the product ineffective and can even cause hair problems.

In some cases, certain products cannot be used with other products. It is important to note this information and be sure only to use products that are compatible with each other.  http://www.ultraimports.com.au/

Hair loss treatment information for baldness

The increased popularity in Hair loss treatments are due to the fact that so many people are affected by it. But why does it occur and who does it affect? Hair loss and a receding hairline are just one of the signs that age is starting to take a toll on our bodies. For men, there is a very good chance that it’s only a matter of time before you start to notice that your hairline is receding. For 20% of men, male pattern baldness (androgenetic alopecia) starts as early as puberty. They will probably have extensive hair loss by the age of 30 or even younger. For them, male pattern baldness is extremely rapid and extensive.

For a sixty percent of men, the process of hair loss is far more gradual. It also starts later on in life. Regardless of the time frame however, near total baldness across the majority of the head areas affects most of the male adult population.

Female Hair Loss

Hair loss for men is more socially acceptable. Women on the other hand, often face a more traumatic experience from unexpected hair loss. While early adolescence and the 20s are potential problem times for women susceptible to generic hair loss, menopause is an equally critical time.

Hair Growth

The rate of hair growth is 3mm per week (faster than any other part of the body except bone marrow).
This process of hair loss and hair regrowth is continuous and natural – it is only when daily hair loss greatly exceeds this rate that an unnatural condition may be present. The human head has an average of around 100,000 hair follicles, which can each produce about 20 hairs in a lifetime

DHT – A Factor in Male Hair Loss

This is a powerful hormone in our bodies, which can adversely affect the hair on our head. It is very important for a person to have proper nutrition to maintain hair. When DHT reaches the hair follicles and dermal papilla, it tends to prevent proteins, vitamins and minerals from providing the necessary nourishment to sustain life in the hair of these follicles. Due to this, the hair follicles tend to reproduce at a slower rate and this in turn either shortens the growing phase of the hair follicles or lengthens its resting stage.

Other Hair Loss Factors

In addition to the chemical effects of D.H.T. other factors can affect the growth of hair. Stress, poor nutrition and of course old age also affect adversely an individuals ability to reproduce hair at fast enough rates.

Hair Loss Treatment, Prevention and Hair Loss Products

If you want to reverse or prevent hair loss, what can be done? – There are a lot of treatments available from creams to Hair Transplants – many are quite costly, and all achieve mixed results. It is essential that you do your research into all of the alternatives that are available on the market.  http://www.ultraimports.com.au/

Hair care products tips for women and babies

If you were to ask several men and women what they dread most about hair care, they would tell you it is choosing the best products for their hair. The marketplace is flooded with literally thousands of products, making the selection process a challenge. Our best hair care product advice is to take your time choosing products, read the labels, and do not be afraid to try different things. To give you some hair care products advice about the types of quality products you can buy, we have put together hair care products advice. While not everyone likes the same type of product, the ones listed below are considered among the best.

To create shimmering highlights for your body and face, Lancome has come up with a new product that is loved by women of all ages. With beautiful colors of gold, silver, blue, and so on, you can apply a small amount for a subtle, sensual appearance or more for a funky and fun look. This gloss is extremely easy to use and best of all it has a wonderful, lemony fragrance. Simply apply to your shoulders, arms, face, hands, or feet and enjoy the sparkle. In fact, you can even add the shimmering gloss to your hair, perfect for special occasions. To take it off, you simply use soap and water.

The shampoo creates a rich lather that is applied to wet hair like any other shampoo. After rinsing, you would then use the Matrix Moisture Rich Fusion conditioner. The result of this shampoo and conditioner is a rich, silky feel, the kind you get from a full-spa treatment. Your hair will be easy to manage, feel soft, and smell incredibly amazing, with just a hint of fresh flowers and herbs.     Vavoon Smoothing Gel – This product can be used on any hair type or length but works exceptionally well on short hair. With the Vavoon Smoothing Gel, you can tone down frizz while softening curls. If you live in a region with high humidity, you will enjoy the benefits of this gel. All you need to do is apply a little to your towel-dried hair and then with a wide-toothed comb, blend it into the hair. This gel leaves a fresh, botanical fragrance behind, reminding you of wild, meadow flowers.

Ouidad Balancing Rinse – This particular company makes a huge array of products, all of them, top of the line. The Balancing Rinse comes in a standard, eight-ounce bottle that is protein-enriched. Since this rinse does not contain any silicone oil or plant oils, it leaves the hair clean, slick, and shiny, without weighing it down. With the protein formula, you will find that your hair has more volume, bounce, and luster. In fact, if you have damaged hair, you will notice a difference after the first use. Additionally, this rinse is designed with special agents to help with detangling so hair is not overstretched or caused to break. Finally, the fragrance is fruity and fresh, leaving you feeling good and clean.  http://www.ultraimports.com.au/legal.php

Baby hair care and head shaving

 Downy hair covering at birth

Although some babies are born totally bald, most babies are born with a soft, downy head of hair that is frequently light in color. The down is very soft, almost like what you see on baby ducks. This newborn fuzz will usually only lasts for the first three or four months after birth. Because babies go through the first year of their life with little or no hair, they obviously do not require much hair care. Yes it is true that sometimes babies are born with no hair at all. This is not all that uncommon so if your baby has no hair, don't panic.

The myth of baby head shaving

A common myth is that is you shave your baby's head to remove the down that the baby's hair will grow in a lot thicker or even a different texture. This is a myth with absolutely no scientific proof. The reason that this all started was because when people do get their hair cut it just seems to be thicker. In reality, it is not. It just appears that way. This has been a pervading myth for a long time, and has been debunked over and over.

Baby hair care: Slow, easy and gentle
The care of baby hair is relatively simple. Depending on how much hair they have, babies may only require shampooing or an irregular basis. Shampooing can be done on an "as needed" basis, and does not have to be done every day.

Avoid unnecessary tangling

The care of baby hair is relatively simple. Babies generally only require a regular shampooing. This can be done on an "as needed basis" and does not have to be done every day. Make sure that the hair is kept neatly trimmed to keep it out of the baby's or young child's eyes and ears and to prevent any unnecessary tangling. You can either trim the baby's hair at home yourself or have a professional trim it. Most people opt to trim a baby's hair themselves the first year or so.

Pros and cons of baby shampoos
A lot of baby doctors recommend the use of a special baby shampoo during the first years of an infant's life. Baby shampoos generally don't contain the sulfates that are used in most adult hair care products.

One relatively unknown danger from traditional baby shampoo is the pH balance. While baby shampoos formulated specifically for babies are less prone to stinging if they get into the eyes, when they contain a high pH (which many do), they may cause unnecessary tangling of the baby's hair. http://www.ultraimports.com.au/

Hair care tips for the curly hair

Girls that have curly hairstyles can also experience hair damage such as split ends, frizzy and dry hair. This may arise due to wrong diet or the curly hair may not get enough moisture. Here are some basic DOs and DON'Ts that people with curly hair MUST follow!

The first thing that curly-haired people should keep doing is conditioning their hair thoroughly after shampooing. However, here's the catch - do not shampoo more than twice a week as shampoo will make your hair drier still. They have a tendency to wash away the natural oils from your mane due to the presence of chemicals, like alcohol and sodium lauryl sulfate, you see. So, you need to shampoo at regular intervals just to remove the dirt and grime that renders your hair coarser. Your hair needs more of moisturizing and that you will get from conditioners.

Regularly apply virgin coconut oil, almond oil, jojoba oil and aloe vera to maintain the softness of your hair. You need to do this religiously at least once in 7 days. You can do it up to three times a week and will notice a world of difference in the texture of your hair. Not only will it nourish your hair, but it will also regularize the blood circulation in your scalp area. The vitamin E present in these oils will also boost the growth of your hair. Start massaging from the root of your hair and go up to the tip. Massage slightly warm oil just before you hit the sack at night and wash it off the next morning. Use wide-toothed combs or brushes, they minimize the breakage and make your hair less frizzy. Also, they do not damage the hair strands while you try to remove the tangles from your hair. You have to understand here that your hair is naturally brittle in nature. It will break off in bulk if you try to tame it with a narrow-toothed comb.

When drying your hair after a bath or wetting your hair in general, DO NOT rigorously rub your hair with a towel. It is a strict NO-NO! It will damage the texture of your hair and make it very rough. And since you do not need any further help in that department, refrain from doing it. What you should ideally do is use a soft towel to gently soak up the water in your hair. Blotting prevents any kind of friction and serves your purpose in the correct manner. Vigorous rubbing of the hair with a towel will only leave you with split-ends. So, go the gentle, pat-drying way. http://www.ultraimports.com.au/

How to choose the best hair straightening product

The list of hair care products include products that promote hair-growth and restoration, wigs and services catered to care of the hair and of course, are also included as a major component of the list.Although regular visits to professional hair dressers are still part of the regular routine of many women who desire to maintain the attractive appearance, The manufacturers of many hair care products have focused efforts on creating products that can be easily applied at home. There is a wide choice of hair products on the retail market, and choosing a suitable hair straightening product requires some thought.

Surveys indicate that people prefer hair products that produce longer lasting effect, which eventually mean less straightening or longer periods between treatments will be required. It introduces a conundrum, where less can be seen as more, as professional hair dressers often indicate that less treatment may actually be better for the health of the hair.

The reason is probably because, treatments can be harsh, and in some cases may actually damage the hair. One of the primary considerations in choosing the most suitable product is to choose a product that is safe. The list of ingredients should not include products that contain hazardous chemicals such as alkalis that can damage or severely burn the skin, and scalp. Many manufacturers are introducing all-natural, non-alkali hair straightening products that can be very effective.

In addition to knowing your hair type, straighteners should be versatile, and be able to work when applied on either wet or dry hair. Ceramic straighteners have proved to be effective, as they can be used safely in applying heat with less risk from scorches. A product that requires less application with longer lasting effects may be a suitable choice, but it must also be suitable for the hair types.

An iron with adjustable temperatures will be preferred, as the texture of different hair types will require temperatures for application. The technology used in straighteners is also advancing with new products that include heating plates made with aluminum and infused with combination of ceramic and Tourmaline. They have also introduced products with infrared heating which is safer as the hair can be heated without any effects on the skin or scalp. Many people who have tried infra red plates indicate moisture is sealed in, so that hair looks silkier and retains a longer lasting shine. The key to choosing the right hair product may be doing some research and trying one that appears to be suitable and produces the results desired.  http://www.ultraimports.com.au/shipping.php

Natural hair care recipes

Hair products cost a lot, and we are always tempted by new, laboratory-tested brands in new bottles. A lot of them are very good, but they are expensive and they often smell of chemicals. Try some of these natural hair products and enjoy the fresh smells of fruit and other good things.

TO GIVE YOUR HAIR BODY AND SHINE

Beat an egg and massage it into freshly washed hair. After five minutes, rinse it out with cool water. Do not use hot water or you will have scrambled egg in your hair. Then you'll spend all morning washing it out.
Beer also gives a lovely shine to hair. Rinse your hair in beer in the shower, then rinse out with water. Use a beer that does not smell too strongly, or you will give people the wrong impression at work. Shampoos based on beers used to be popular though they do not seem to be around at the moment. They never smelled of beer.

OILY HAIR

Opinion is divided about how often to wash oily hair. Some people swear by washing it every day. Others claim that this merely encourages more oil production, thus exacerbating the problem. Whenever you wash your hair, try a tablespoon of cider vinegar to the final rinse to help cut down on the grease.

DRY HAIR

You have to be very careful not to overwash dry hair. It's very easy to strip away the natural oils if you wash it too frequently. Olive oil can be a wonderful conditioner for dry hair. Warm up half a cup, or more if your hair is very long. Massage it through the hair, especially the ends and middle bits - these are always drier than the hair near your scalp. Wrap your hair in plastic, and then in a warm towel, and leave for 30 minutes. This enables to oil to penetrate the hair shaft. Wash out carefully, using a gentle shampoo suited for dry hair.

BLONDE HAIR

Blonde hair can look dull and lifeless, regardless of whether it is straight or curly, dry or oily or normal. Lemon juice is a great brightener of blonde hair. Two or three lemons, squeezed into a liter of warm water, makes a great rinse for clean dry hair. Pour it slowly over your hair, working it into all of your hair from roots to tips with your fingers. After ten minutes, rinse thoroughly with warm water. This adds shine and a lovely smell and brightens the blondeness.

Another brightener for blonde hair uses six chamomile tea bags, steeped in a cup of boiling water for 20 minutes. Add half a cup of plain yogurt to the water (discard the teabags), plus five drops of lavender oil. Stir the mixture thoroughly, and when it is properly emulsified, apply the mixture to clean dry hair. Wrap hair in plastic for twenty minutes, then rinse out thoroughly in warm water and shampoo carefully.  http://www.ultraimports.com.au/

Benefits of professional salon hair care products

Great looking hair that is really healthy and clean makes you feel better about yourself and makes you look healthier and cleaner to other people. Keeping your hair looking this way is important, and using good quality hair products such as shampoo and conditioner is vital. But... when it's time to buy your hair care products, how do you know which are the best ones to use?

High street products seem much more affordable and therefore giving you better value for money because of the low cost of high street hair products. Branded premium salon products can appear pricey with the average 300ml shampoo bottle priced at 5 times the cost   of a regular high street shampoo.

On just this kind of price comparison alone, it appears that the cheap high street hair products are the winners as you are getting 5 times as much product for the same cost, or the same amount of product for 1/5 the price of the salon professional hair care products. But when you look into this further, and take into consideration the quality and the effectiveness of the different hair care products, do the figures actually stack up in favour of the cheaper products, or are cheap high street hair care products a false economy? Let's find out?

To discover which in the long term out of cheap hair care products from the high street and professional salon hair care products proved the best value for money, we decided to test the products to find out how the high street hair color products compare with the salon professional hair products. For our test we compared a 300ml bottle of professional salon shampoo and compared that with a 300ml bottle of your average cheap high street shampoo. To achieve the our required standard of cleaning, the professional salon shampoo needed just 10ml per application to achieve this standard, whereas the cheap high street shampoo needed 50ml per application to achieve the same standard of cleaning.

Using 50ml per application, the average high street hair shampoo provides approximately 6 applications per 300ml bottle. With just 10ml used per application, the professional salon hair shampoo gives you around 30 applications per 300ml bottle. Doing a little math, the cost per applications  for the cheap high street shampoo. Summary: at first glance, cheaper high street hair products appear to be a better buy and provide value for money, but on closer scrutiny there is but a hair's breadth of difference in the price of salon hair products, and cheap hair products. When you add the better quality and effectiveness of salon products into the equation, the salon products turn out to be much better value for money.  http://www.ultraimports.com.au/

Natural hair care products tips

The use of natural hair care products goes a long way back in time and has been known to ancient societies that have passed on their knowledge from generation to generation and thus modern society too has found many uses for such form of hair care solutions. In fact, people in India have been using herbs such as henna, neem, shikakai as well as aloe, bael and brahmi and have combined them with jasmine, sandalwood, turmeric as well as rose to create some very appealing and effective shampoos as well as other natural hair care products.

More Popular By The Day

In fact, the popularity of natural hair care products has begun to grow more by the day as people are now becoming more aware of the many dangers to using hair care products that contain harmful chemicals that can adversely affect their health. In fact, natural products are most popular amongst pregnant women who are most afraid that the harmful chemicals contained in artificial hair care products could affect the well being of their unborn fetuses.

Thus, despite the fact that natural hair care products are a bit more expensive when compared to other types of hair care products, they are nevertheless easy to get and thus are a good option as far as safe and effective hair care goes. In fact, you can even search online and locate numerous recipes that will even show you how to create your own homemade natural hair care products. Also, natural hair care products are ideally suited for those who don’t fuss about their hair styles or who don’t need to fuss over their hair, and in addition, these natural hair care products also include tools for straightening your hair as well as curling irons. In any case, if you find that your hair are damaged or colored wrong, then natural hair care products is what you should use to overcome your problematic hair.

Actually, it should not surprise you to even learn that natural hair care products are presently setting the standards as far as healthy hair care products go and because they contain herbal extracts, they are sure to do a far better job than what chemical based hair care products can hope to do. There no doubts that chemicals will actually do more harm, especially in the long term than good, though somehow they are still being produced in complete disregard of such dangers. Thus, if you choose to go the natural hair care products way, you won’t need to worry about the harsh chemical-based hair care products causing long term damage to your hair and scalp, and what’s worse, to your health as well.  http://www.ultraimports.com.au/

Basic rules of maintaining natural hair care

 1. MOISTURE

Before you begin running for cover, it is fair to let you know that what was the greatest enemy of the chemically conducive is the dearest necessity of the kinked, curled, and carefree natural diva. Moisture is vital to naturally curly hair. Natural hair can be dryness prone if not governed properly.

2. DEEP CONDITION

I firmly believe that deep conditioning is a vital necessity to taking care of and securing strong natural hair. From my experience, it is vital that you deep condition at least once every two weeks. Although I will suggest my product reviews and personal mix ideas at a later date (because the information is massive), I personally think that Carol’s Daughter tui hair smoothie is one of the best deep conditioners I have known. If you know of some yourself, please use it.

3. YES, CLARIFY IT

Let me explain further. For your average individuals, not swimmers, or any other natural diva that may need to constantly use clarifying shampoo, it should be done NOT more twice a month. The purpose of this is to remove the chemical build-up from the products that you use.

4. NO SULFATES

During the week that we are not clarifying, we are using regular shampoo. For the natural divas that have not received the telegram, THIS JUST IN: SULFATES ARE NOT OUR FRIEND! Certainly, I was addicted to the tiny, white, frothy bubbles too, but it is time to let them go. They are responsible for the drying of our hair in addition to carcogenic properties that that threaten the health of our eyes and scalp.

5. PETROLATUM

Petrolatum, deeply imbedded in the roots of African- American hair care and styling, is often a subject of controversy. To use it or not to use it. I like many African-American girls, I grew up with my mother using it on my hair/scalp and I possessed a long, thick head of hair throughout my childhood.

6. NATURAL OILS AND BUTTERS

Whether you use shea butter/oil, mango butter, coconut, jojoba, or any other oil you find ideal, there should always be some things to consider. First, like many others believe these are great for natural hair; however, individuals that write on this subject fail to specify whether they mean shea butter lotion, shea butter repair cream etc… I will tell you this. Shea butter is good for you.

7. BE WEARY OF WEAVES, EXTENSIONS

You have an even bigger problem if these strands lying in a crumbled heap on your floor have tiny white bulbs at the end. These are the hair root bulbs, possibly permanently damaging your scalp/follicles. In addition, long extensions can add too much weight to the hair, causing extra damage. http://www.ultraimports.com.au/

Who Cares About The Environment

Hairdressing salons are not known for being Green. Our energy consumption is high, to say the least. When you think about air-conditioning in summer, heating in winter, hairdryers going all day, lighting, towel washing and drying, you get the picture. I know of salons that have more than four big 500 litre tanks. And we haven’t even talked about the water usage that goes with washing hair and towels all day long! We are environmental mini disaster zones. But there are ways to make changes that will save both the environment and your profit margin.

WATER

Water is an essential part of hairdressing. This will never change, but wastage can be minimised. The easiest way is to get water saving taps installed and use appliances with a high WELS rating. WELS is the government water rating and is given to all taps and water-using appliances Some salon furniture places will offer this as well. Comfortel is one such company and I use their basins in my salon as the taps a 4 star rated.
Washing machines and toilets are also rated this way and you can save thousands of litres of water each year.

CHEMICALS

Chemical wastage is another issue relevant to our industry. Think about the amount of colour, shampoos and product that is washed down the drain in just one day in a hair salon. Using product that have fewer chemicals is a simple way to reduce the amount of toxins that go into our waterways and also onto your clients’ heads.

I use O&M haircare , a company who have used research and technology to eliminate any harsh and toxic chemicals from their colour and product ranges. Their mission is to challenge the artificial norms of professional hair care with the message that healthy hair begins when it’s free from stress. They are committed to researching clean formulations while adding the many positives that quality botanicals and essential oils have to offer. It’s not henna-style natural, but it’s less harsh chemicals and that is a good thing.

What are the different hair stylist careers

There are many different hair stylist careers that a prospective hair stylist can choose from. From a generalized stylist to a stylist who specializes in cutting children's hair, the options are endless. While hair salons may seem like a relatively recent invention, stylists and salons, of sorts, have existed for millennia, catering to certain groups of people.

Many historians believe that hairstylists existed in Ancient Egypt. These stylists often worked for affluent members of society, attempting to creating new and interesting hair styles. By the time the Victorian era rolled around, hair had taken on a whole new look. Victorian styles were complex and demanding, which meant that every woman had to have a stylist she could run to when a new hair style was called for. Since the style of one's hair also determined one's station in life, stylists during the Victorian era had to perfect all new hair styles.

Today, some stylists work solely with African-American clients, while other stylists focus on hair color products or formal hair styles. Prospective stylists who wish to work within the fashion world may want to seek out hair stylist careers within a production company. Likewise, stylists who wish to work solely with elderly people may want to pursue work within a salon that caters to an older clientele.  Many stylists wish to only cut and style men's hair, and these stylists tend to work within salons that cater exclusively to men. Some stylists even work with actors and actresses as part of a makeup and hair crew. Still, before any hair stylist careers can be pursued, all stylists must first obtain a cosmetology license.

These licenses can usually be gained by applying to a cosmetology program within a local trade school. Alternately, some specialized hair schools exist throughout the world, and they frequently offer unique courses. All stylists must keep abreast of new trends within the hair world. Successful stylists gain a large following of devoted customers who expect the latest hair fashions and techniques. Hair stylist careers can be found by applying directly for a position at a local salon, searching through job advertisements, or beginning work as an intern within a popular salon.

The career of a hair stylist is often rewarding, though this type of job can also be highly demanding. People with lucrative hair stylist careers often discover a particular niche. Therefore, anyone looking to explore various hair stylist careers may want to consider working with a distinct group of people.  http://www.ultraimports.com.au/shipping.php

How to prevent frizz when perming hair

Hair that is chemically treated or even natural curly hair has a tendency to frizz. The frizzing problems can stem from dryness or lack of nourishment in your hair.Climate and humidity can play a big role in the condition of your hair, and the result is a frizzy uncontrollable style. The chemical reaction to the hair follicles in permed hair can produce dryness and an unbalanced PH, which will result in unruly frizzing. The perming process goes as follows:

The hair is washed and conditioned, then bound on curlers or rods.An alkaline perm lotion is applied to the hair.Because of the alkaline chemical the lotion opens up the scales of the cuticle slightly, this allows the chemical to get underneath the cuticle and into the cortex. While in the cortex it reacts with the keratin and breaks the some of the cross-links within and between protein chains. This causes the hair to swell and soften so it can take the shape of the curlers or rods. The perm lotion is rinsed after about 20 minutes and a neutralizer is applied. The conditioners in the neutralizer help to repair broken cross-links and re-form the hair to a harder curlier shape. The biggest problem that occurs when perming hair is failure to rinse and neutralize properly.Failing to do this step properly can lead to problems like scalp irritation or a damage hair shaft.

What about the frizz? How can you minimize frizzing in permed hair? The first step is to condition your hair well before perming. You cannot do this right before you have the perm but getting your hair in good condition to be permed is an excellent first step for frizz prevention. If your hair is nourished before you perm it you have a better chance of getting the soft, smooth curling results you want. The next step comes after the perm. Most hair stylists recommend not washing your hair for 48 hours after the perm because the shampoo can interfere with the chemical process; you need to give your hair time to adjust and absorb the chemicals that give you the permanent curl.Conditioning your hair however will not interfere with the curling process and it is recommended you continue to condition your hair during the first 48 hours.

There are many hair care products on the market that can help tame those unwanted fly- aways.Hairdressers recommend pomade or a silicon serum. You can apply it to wet or dry hair, pomade doesn't contain a lot of oil so it won't weigh you hair down it will smooth out the frizz and leave a fabulous shine.Another product some recommend is hair gel or mousse. One alternative is to air dry your hair and use a wire bristled brush or wide-tooth comb. There are several products available that claim to help you control your out-of-control frizz. If you do some experimenting and try some of the pointers listed above you will find something that works for you and be able to achieve the soft, shiny, curly style you want.  http://www.ultraimports.com.au/

Steps to do for frizz free hair care

 1) Wash your hair, but don't over-wash it.Frizzy hair does not need to be washed every day and it certainly should not be washed more than one time per day.As a general rule, people with frizzy hair should not wash their hair more than three times per week.If you do you are basically cleaning the natural oils that help weight down frizzy hair right off of your head. When you do wash your hair use both a conditioning shampoo and an intense, deep conditioner. It might be hard for some people to forego washing their hair everyday, but try to remember that you can still shower as many times a day as you want to keep your body clean, just skip over your hair.If you wash everyday right now, ease off gradually.Your scalp is accustomed to over-produce oil to try to keep up with your hygiene habits so try washing up to four times per week and gradually work your way down to three and maybe even two.

2) Deep condition regularly.Deep conditioning will help restore moisture to your hair and will help fortify damaged hair over a period of time during which you use the product at least one time per week. You can use a hair mask, oil treatment, or deep conditioner for this task. You may want to ask your hair stylist to recommend specific products.

3) Replace your styling gel with a conditioning styling cream.Recently introduced hair products for made for curly hair are creamy and conditioning unlike hair gel which holds the curls in place but does nothing to condition your hair.If you can't give up the gel, at least apply a generous dose of leave-in conditioner to your hair before you apply the gel.

4) Whether your hair is curly or straight, if it is frizzy then you need to stay away from blow dryers, flat irons and curling irons. The more heat you use to style your hair the more you are drying your strands out.If you can't bear the look of your hair when it isn't heat styled, try using only one heated styling tool and set it to a lower temperature that you usually use.For example, don't blow-dry your hair and then use a flat-iron to get it straight.Instead, allow your hair to air dry and then use your flat iron, but use it on a low or medium setting instead of a high one.On the days that you use heating tools, always apply a thermal protectant to your hair, as directed by the product's label, before styling to reduce the damaging effects such tools will have on your hair.Your hair stylist may again be able to recommend a tried-and-true product for you.But of course, the best way to help your hair out is to skip the heat styling altogether. If you don't know any other way to manage your mane, make an appointment ASAP with your stylist to get tips on styling your hair naturally.Every time you skip over that blow dryer you are helping to restore your hair.  http://www.ultraimports.com.au/terms.php

Wedding hair stylist using hair color products

A wedding hair stylist is a professionally trained hair stylist with specialized knowledge of formally styling hair for weddings. He or she typically works mostly with the bride, but may also perform services for other members of a wedding. Styling hair for weddings is generally a longer, more in-depth process than basic styling and may require multiple practice sessions.

The process of styling hair for a wedding often begins with a consultation between the stylist and bride prior to the wedding day. The stylist may request the bride to bring a picture of her wedding dress and anything she may be wearing on her head, such as a veil, headpiece or decorative hair adornments. The bride may express her ideas on how she wants her hair styled or ask for the stylist’s professional opinion.

The wedding hair stylist may examine a variety of factors, such as the bride’s age, face shape, and hair texture, to determine what hair style may be most flattering. He or she may also take into account the time of day the wedding will take place to determine how formal the hair style should be. Once the stylist offers his or her personalized suggestions, the bride may select multiple styles for the stylist to demonstrate. A wedding hair stylist will typically do each hair style to see if the bride likes how it looks, then take a photograph to ensure the style doesn’t look different in photographs. If the hair style is complex or time consuming, the stylist may record how long it takes to do so he or she can allot enough styling time on the day of the wedding.

On the day of the wedding, the stylist may travel to meet the bride at a specified location or the bride may go to the stylist’s salon. One of the main job duties of a wedding hair stylist is to style the bride’s hair on the wedding day and ensure the style will last throughout the entire event. He or she will typically have knowledge on the different methods of making a hair style stay put, such as using specialized hair products. If a bride is wearing a veil or other head adornment, the stylist will help position it so it doesn’t interfere with the bride’s hair style. He or she may also explain how to easily take down the hair style after the event, especially if a lot of pins or hair products were used. Although the majority of the time and effort is spent on the bride, a wedding hair stylist may also offer to style the hair of any other members of the wedding.

Some wedding hair stylists may offer to stay at the event and accompany the bride to any photography sessions. He or she will touch up the hair style if it comes loose throughout the wedding. A bride may also pay the stylist to perform a second hair style for any celebration following the wedding.   http://www.ultraimports.com.au/shipping.php

Hair styling tips from hair care products

Hair stylists are constantly perfecting their styling techniques and help you achieve a great look without too much effort, so run through the following professional hair styling tips and embed them in your styling rut.

Give your hair a boost of volume while the hair is still wet as this way the result will last longer. Use a blower and a round brush to dry the hair with precise movements starting from the roots and working the way down the hair shaft. Divide hair and take 2-inch sections at a time. Start with the nape of the neck towards the top layers. If you want more volume but don't have it naturally, switch your hair care products and opt for ones that are designed to boost volume. A few layers cut through your hair will also give your hair the volume it lacks. Keep static hair at bay by washing your hair with a moisturizing shampoo. To make sure your locks will look fabulous all throughout the day, spritz a little bit of hairspray onto your brush then brush your hair into place.

To mend dry, split ends, apply a drop of silicone based serum using your fingers. A tiny drop will do as you want to keep your locks looking smooth and shiny, not heavy and greasy. Concentrate the serum on the dry parts of your hair and the ends, this way your locks will look shinier and will be protected from frizz as well.If you wish to give your locks a gorgeous curl without any heat, pop in a few hair rollers and hit the shower. The moisture will set the loose curls, leaving your locks looking fabulous once they're removed. To get the perfect result make sure your hair is completely dry before removing the rollers from your hair.

To get a natural wave prep hair with a mix of leave-in conditioner and mousse. Apply only to mid ends and ends of the hair avoiding the scalp. Then use your fingers to move the hair from side to side scrunching with your fingers. Place the diffuser attachment on your blow dryer and place the hair strands onto the diffuser, then press it against the scalp (make sure the heat is on medium setting) so that the curls can get their shape set. To dry the roots flip your head over and blast them with the hot air, then gently come back up. Use your fingers to gently comb through hair and break curls once your hair is dry and get a nice, natural texture.

Creating a perfect ponytail could be a little bit tricky, but with the right tips you'll manage to obtain a sleek and fab result. Before you start, make sure you have a hair elastic and three bobby pins. Hook two bobby pins on the hair elastic on opposite ends to get an elastic that works much better when trying to style a pony perfectly. Then spritz your hair with some salt water and brush the hair through while blow drying it in the direction you're going to style the ponytail. http://www.ultraimports.com.au/contactus.php

Hair stylist to help him to maintain a specific look

A men's hair stylist is a man or woman who specializes in cutting, shampooing, dyeing, and styling hair. Professional stylists can help men decide on fashionable haircuts and create the appropriate looks. Many stylists suggest and sell products to keep hair healthy and looking its best. A men's hair stylist usually works in a barbershop or hair salon, seeing walk-in and appointment-based clients. Some ambitious and successful stylists work with celebrities or other individuals who need to look good in the public eye.

Common services provided by a men's hair stylist include trimming hair and beards, shampooing and coloring hair and adding highlights. Professionals also apply gel and other hair products to achieve certain looks. Stylists often offer expert haircare and styling advice, and may sell specific products in their barbershops or salons so that people can maintain their desired look at home. In some salons, men's hair stylists apply facial skincare products to help improve clients' complexions and accentuate their hairstyles.

An individual might seek the service of a men's hair stylist to help him establish or maintain a specific look. He may reference a photo in a hair style book or a magazine and request a similar cut. Some people, however, visit stylists without certain designs in mind, relying on the professionals' experience and skills to create attractive haircuts. Stylists are usually very familiar with popular hairdos and attempt to stay in touch with current fashion trends.

A license is required to work as a men's hair stylist in most states and countries. In order to obtain a license, an individual must first complete a training program at an accredited cosmetology or barber school. The length of barber school programs can vary, but most classes take about nine months to complete. Students attend lectures, read about tools and techniques, and practice their skills on dummies and volunteers. Upon completion of a program, an individual is usually awarded a certificate and granted the ability to work under supervision and pursue licensure.

New stylists prepare for their licensing exams by cutting hair under the guidance of experienced workers. Most states and regions administer written exams to individuals after they have completed a set number of supervised working hours. Some locations require practical exams as well, wherein stylists are required to cut a volunteer's hair to the satisfaction of licensers. Once a person receives a license, he or she is allowed to practice independently in barber shops or hair salons.  http://www.ultraimports.com.au/

Hair and beauty products to make beautiful

It almost seems as if there’s more that this pantry essential can do than what it can’t. One area that you may not have considered in which baking soda works its eco-magic wonders is in the realm of beauty. There’s definitely something to be said for organic beauty products, but if you’re feeling the pinch of a tight budget homemade beauty products may be the way to go. Enter baking soda. Get spiffed up from head to toe with these seven ways to use baking soda in your beauty routine.
1. Quickie hair cleaner

Remove product buildup from all that stuff you slather on your hair (shampoo, conditioner, styling products) with baking soda. Simply wash your hair with about ½ cup of baking soda and warm water once every two weeks. If your hair feels too dry after using this method, add ½ cup vinegar to the concoction. It might not smell as good as your shampoo (okay... it's not going to smell good at all), but this mixture's bubbling power will easily get rid of grimy buildup.

2. Natural dry shampoo

On those days when you just don’t have time to shower (courtesy of hitting the snooze button one too many times), baking soda can remove grime and oil from your hair in a snap. Sprinkle one to two tablespoons of the powdery lifesaver into your greasy roots. Scrunch it in, and then use a fine bristled brush to comb the powder out. Instant freshness.

3. Face wash and makeup remover

Slough off the day’s griminess and what’s left of your morning makeup with baking soda. Simply shake a small amount of the powder into your cupped palm. Add a few drops of water, and then scrub away. Be careful around your eyes, as it will sting if you get any of the mixture in them. Rinse thoroughly when you’re done.

4. Baking soda bath

Skip the bubbles and fancy bath salts—all you need is baking soda. Sprinkle ½ cup of baking soda into a tub filled with warm bath water. Soak away the day’s stresses for 15-30 minutes. The baking soda will leave your skin refreshed and silky smooth.

5. Pedicure

No need to pay for a fancy-schmancy pedicure. Pamper yourself with a homemade pedicure starring baking soda. Immerse your tired tootsies in 2-3 tablespoons of baking soda in a tub of warm water. Add a few drops of your favorite essential oil to make the mixture smell nice.  Soak your feet for 15-20 minutes.

6. Teeth whitener

Get your pearly whites gleaming with a little help from baking soda. Mix together 6 teaspoons baking soda, 1/3 teaspoon salt, 4 teaspoons glycerin and 15 drops of peppermint or other breath-freshening oil. Dip a toothbrush in the mixture and scrub away at your choppers for a brightening boost to your smile.  http://www.ultraimports.com.au/shipping.php

How to get healthy hair using hair products

The goal for obtaining healthy hair is having hair that is strong, moisturized and that does not shed (or shed a lot). I wrote an article called How to Grow Longer Hair in which I spoke about the products I use to grow my hair. The reason why I transitioned to using products found in the grocery store is because I moved to a new neighborhood with beauty supply stores that do not cater to my hair type. That transition was easy because some of the products that I already used could also be found in the grocery store.

The last time I visited the grocery store, after getting my cereal and bread and other food items, I also picked up some oils for my hair. The oils I picked up were Macadamia Oil, Avocado Oil, Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Coconut Oil. I already used Olive Oil and Coconut Oil in my hair but I found out about the two other products while doing some research on hair care products. I also switched from using the Coconut Oil I found in the hair store to the Coconut Oil found in the grocery store because the one in the hair store is not as pure and it's also more expensive. I will be telling you how I use these products as well as how I use them with other food items that can be found in your kitchen.

Deep Condition

In order to have healthy hair, you need to have a good conditioning routine. I love deep conditions because they replenish your hair with necessary proteins and moisture. You can make your own deep conditions with products that you already have in your kitchen instead of going out and buying a new product. I would advise you to deep condition your hair twice a month (once every two weeks) and leave it on your hair for at least one hour. Wrap your hair with a shower cap or in the old fashioned way, with a plastic bag. Here are some amazing, kitchen-made deep conditions for your hair.

Mayonnaise, Eggs and Olive Oil. Mayonnaise is great for conditioning your hair and adding nutrients to it. My mom has been using mayonnaise in her hair forever. When I was younger, I thought it was gross and did not want to put it in my hair but now I love it. Eggs are also great for your hair. It reconstructs it which is important since you want to be able to retain the hair that you have. Olive Oil strengthens hair, moisturizes it and tames it. Most people know about the benefits of Olive Oil and there are so many hair products that includes it today. There is even an Olive Oil line so it is definitely one of the finest products for hair care.  http://www.ultraimports.com.au/shipping.php

Hair color products overload leads to spoil hair

The look of  natural hair may currently be a popular trend, but ironically, the steps to achieving a free-flowing hairstyle are often anything but natural. Some people may simply leave hair in its natural state to get fresh and healthy locks but many apply multiple hair products for the same appearance. Women use thousands of hair products ranging from shampoos and conditioners to gels and mousses to style their tresses. The various products help style hair into a sleek ponytail or voluminous curls, but product overload leaves hair damaged.

All human hair is made up of natural oils that produce sheen and texture. The natural oils already give hair body and protection, but when individuals use several hair products simultaneously and in great amounts, hair appears greasy and flat. Applying many hair care ointments at once also causes product build-up which leaves tresses lying limp. According to Barbara Lhotan, an expert on curly hair, “If your hair starts to feel coated, crunchy or looks limp and flat, you may be the victim of build-up.” Because hair is so delicate, product build-up obstructs natural textures which leads to lifeless hair.

While styling hair, people often overuse heating appliances such as curling irons, blow dryers and straighteners. Using hot tools everyday and at their maximum temperature literally burns hair follicles which produces frizziness. Rinsing hair with hot water also causes dullness. When hot water hits the hair, hair cuticles open and become loose which leads to frizz. Cool water on the other hand shuts cuticles, keeping hair strands tamed and shiny.
Another mistake people make when caring for their hair is using too much shampoo. Although shampooing cleanses tresses, washing hair everyday or multiple times a day strips it of consistency and natural oils such as sebum.

Beautiful Long Hair

Modern women have a growing concern for their skin, hair, looks, weight, body color, curve and curl. Recent research confirms that success is proportionate with beauty. And beauty is the compliment of proportionate amount of healthy and lushy hair matching to the bodily and facial features. Hair beauty, hair styles and hair color in the social context is very important. That’s why we have got such literary phrases as 'power of the blonde'. Though globalization is changing beauty standards, the trend is always towards beautiful long hairs, be it curled, kinked, dyed or extended.

Hair is a gender/sex differentiator. Men should be men and women should be women. It is pronounced in differences and preferences of hair styles. This difference sends men to barber shop and women to beauty shop.
Beautiful hair enhances self-esteem and attracts the charms of a love interest. Anyways, philosophically or psychologically, hair is the reflection of ones internal beliefs, consciousness and interests.   http://www.ultraimports.com.au/

Hair and beauty stylist products

A home business hair stylist is certainly an exciting and fulfilling responsibility. Feeling good about oneself and looking good are considered to be prime needs of people, and therefore, a stylist is a lucrative business idea.

Services

There are several services a home-based hair stylist can offer. You can even offer a number of these services in a package. The most basic services expected from a home-based hair stylist are haircuts, hair trimming and hair styling. Highlights and weaving are also provided. Hair services also include hair and scalp treatments, relaxing, rebonding and perming, shampoo and conditioning, hot oil treatment and curling, reconstructing and permanent waving. Although your primary focus is on hair services, you may also include services for the nails such as manicure and pedicure, skin care services such as facials, and sales of professional hair and beauty products. Selling top-of-the-line products will give you the chance to keep your customers constantly in the loop.

Requirements

Since the business is primarily home-based, the requirements are less than putting up a hair and beauty salon business establishment. You no longer have to worry about the space since you can run the business from your own home.  You can convert your own residence to an instant parlor. Investment of time is also important.

You also need to spend quite a reasonable amount of your capital on salon equipment.  The most essential salon equipment for a home-based hair styling business include a styling chair, haircut scissors, a hair blower, hair curlers, supply trolleys, hair steaming machines and shampoo spray machines. The equipment you need to invest in may vary according to the services you offer.  You may also need to invest on some licensing and professional fees. If you intend to sell some hair and beauty products, you also need to allocate a portion of your capital to the purchase of initial stocks.

Advantages

The most evident advantage of a home-based business is convenience. You no longer have to travel and go out of your own residence to report for work and to earn. Plus, a home-based hair styling business will certainly not bore you to death, since you will have the chance to meet and interact with people (unlike other home-based businesses where you only have to face your own computer unit).

With a home-based business, you also get to be more flexible and free regarding your time. You can set your own work schedule, and you do not need to worry about office intrigues. You also have more control over your salary, as you can name your own prices when you are working for yourself (as long as they're compatible with industry standards). You can choose how often you'd like to work.  http://www.ultraimports.com.au/contactus.php

Home hair coloring as good as professional hair dye

Do you want to change your look and you are considering a different color? Well, people are actually very fortunate as color change is very much within reach with the very many hair color products existing on the market at present. Before actually performing the change you should know that there are possible unpleasant incidents associated with hair dying, and these consequences will occur on the long run usually, when quite some time has lapsed from the hair dying as such. Premature aging of the hair, as well as some skin disorders are just a few of the effects of using bad hair color products or the consequence for the improper use of these products. You should be aware of these side effects and that there are different quality hair color products that you can use to stay away from trouble.

Anyway when referring to hair color products two things are generally involved: hair color products which are for hair dying only and hair color products which are actually designed to protect yourself against side effects and improve the health of artificially colored hair. Hair color products are typically separated based on the length of time they have effects on colored hair. Thus we can speak of four common categories of hair coloring and, consequently, of hair color products: temporary, semi-permanent, demi-permanent and permanent. Among the hair color products, hair lighteners such as bleaches can be considered as a sub-set of definitive hair color products, since their effects are actually definitive.

Since most people want this kind of change to be only partial. When we talk about temporary coloring, the working mechanism is the interesting one. The pigment molecules in temporary hair color products are large and, therefore, do not penetrate the cuticle layer, allowing only a superficial covering of the hair which my be removed by shampooing. The passage and color strength of temporary hair color products usually gets better through the use of a bleaching before the application of the hair color products. For temporary coloring of your hair you should keep in mind the fact that there are temporar

Hair stylists probably will say that you will get better looking hair color if you have the job done by a professional. Although this is true in some cases -- for example, if you're making a radical change in your hair color -- plenty of people have success dyeing their hair at home. What's more, Begoun says women who color their own hair have the same rate of satisfaction as those who have it done by a professional.At-home hair coloring, therefore, is a perfectly acceptable and a more affordable alternative for those who simply want to cover gray hair or slightly lighten or darken their natural hair color.  http://www.ultraimports.com.au/shipping.php

Hairs are one of the most exposed parts of the body and require utmost care and maintenance.
